By adding a bay leaf to canisters and packages of dry goods, the herbs’ pungent scent repels many pests. Most pantry pest are brought into home from items that are already infested. Check packages for any holes or broken seals before placing them in your cart. Remember to check the expiration dates on baking ingredients before use. Wipe up crumbs and spills as soon as possible. Look for any cracks and holes where pests might be coming into your home and seal them shut.
